PARISHVILLE – A 28-year-old woman has been arrested for stealing a $600 diamond ring, $498 in cash and a Visa card from a locked box owned by her boyfriend, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Patricia J. Tyo, of 1116 Old Potsdam-Parishville Road, was charged at 1:39 a.m. Saturday with two counts of fourth degree grand larceny, Class E felonies, and one count of fourth degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, deputies said.

The arrest followed an investigation after deputies received a July 30 complaint that someone had broken into a locked, metal box owned by Gerald W. Scovil and stole the items, deputies said.

Deputies said they recovered some of the property that was stolen. Tyo is to face the charges Aug. 17 in Parishville Town Court.
