PITCAIRN -- A woman was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs following a one-car rollover crash on State Route 3 Tuesday evening, according to state police.
Jami S. Schuerfeld, 38, Glen Park, was operating a Kia Sportage west on SR 3 around 6 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the road, officers said.
She was not injured, officers said.
Troopers located a plastic straw inside the vehicle that contained residue of a controlled substance.
She was charged with DWAI: drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speed unreasonable, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to surrender license plates, driving on a suspended registration and an unregistered motor vehicle.
She was released on tickets returnable to Pitcairn court Sept. 1 at 7 p.m.
