WINTHROP -- A pair of Winthrop men were charged with possessing about two pounds of marijuana inside a vehicle during a traffic stop Dec. 17 on County Route 49, according to state police.
Troopers said that at approximately 5:35 p.m. they conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Volkswagon Passat, for inadequate tail lamps and brake lights.
The operator, 23-year-old Zachary R. Kerberg and his passenger, 24-year-old Jake P. Richards, both of Winthrop, were found in possession of about two pounds of pot inside the vehicle.
Kerberg and Richards were both charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class D Felony.
They were arraigned at Stockholm Town Court and released under the supervision of St. Lawrence County Probation.
