POTSDAM -- A Winthrop man suspected of murder and burial of the body in Raymondville has been arrested in Potsdam for writing an allegedly bad check.
Dustin J. Trimm, 37, of 325 County Rt. 49, is accused of making out a check for $20.58 to Triple A Lumber in Potsdam with insufficient funds in his account.
Trimm was issued an appearance ticket by St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies. He is to answer the charge in Potsdam Town Court.
Trimm was arrested by state police early in February, accused in the murder of Jason Wing of Fort Covington after the man went missing in August 2010.
The body was discovered in a wooded area in Raymondville as Trimm was being questioned by state police in the case.
An online petition purportedly set up by the mother of the slain man has been seeking signatures to keep the accused murderer in jail until the trial for the murder.
