WINTHROP -- The invitational Regan/Levison Memorial Golf Tournament was held recently, this year to benefit Marine Cpl. Aaron Howell of Parishville, who was severely wounded in Afghanistan.
A check for $800 was presented at Meadowbrook Golf Club to Cpl. Howell's parents, Grace and David Howell, along with prayers and best wishes for the Howell family.
The Regan and Levison families have hosted the tournament since 2002 in memory of Emmett and Bernice Regan, Felix and Mildred Levison, and Tommy Levison, son of Tom and Betsy Levison, and all other deceased members of the families.
There were 44 golfers on the course ranging in age from 10 to 82 years old, and 60 attended the banquet.
The families expressed gratitude to Mickey Locke and the staff at Meadowbrook, the Norwood American Legion and Auxiliary, and raffle prize and other donors.
