A winter storm warning is in effect for St. Lawrence County through 7 p.m. as a late autumn winter storm will affect the region through Wednesday with significant snow across higher elevations, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasters are calling for 3-8 inches in the North Country today through Wednesday. Expect 1-3 inches today, 1-3 tonight and 1-2 inches tomorrow, NWS says.

The high today will be around 35 with an overnight low of 30, the service says.

The high on Wednesday will again be around 35 with an overnight low near 28, forecasters say.
