A hazardous weather outlook has been lifted after a winter storm dumped several inches of snow and ice across the North Country.
Snow will continue to fall through the weekend, but less than three inches of accumulation is expected although rain could also be in the mix as temperatures hover near the freezing point.
The fast falling snow yesterday led to messy roads causing some accidents throughout the North Country.

The weekend forecast follows:
Today: Snow showers likely, mainly before 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Light northeast wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tonight: Snow showers likely, mainly between 1am and 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 27. North wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Friday: A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 35. North wind 9 to 13 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday: A 30 percent chance of snow showers before 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 30. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow showers after 8pm. Cloudy, with a low around 16. Northwest wind around 7 mph.
