No white Christmas this year.
Breeziness and wet conditions will prevail in St. Lawrence County today as a high wind warning and a flood watch are posted for the St. Lawrence Valley.
Gusts as high as 55 mph can be expected today along the St. Lawrence River, and not quite so high elsewhere, according to the National Weather Service. The wind warning is in effect through 6 p.m.
The flood watch for the North Country continues through Friday morning.
The NWS says rivers have been on the rise overnight due to the snowmelt and rainfall, so minor flooding remains possible along rivers and in poor drainage areas.
The chance of precipitation in the county ranges up to 50 percent, with more chance, along with more chance of snow, the higher the elevation. That diminishes tonight and tomorrow.
Highs today and tomorrow will be 40 to 45 and lows both nights around 30.
The outlook for the weekend is for cloudiness and a chance of rain and snow.
