RUSSELL – While power has been restored to about 50 National Grid customers near Russell and Fine, about 20 homes are being affected in the Piecefield and Macomb areas.

According to National Grid, about 15 customers in Piercefield have lost power and five or less in Macomb.

Power is expected to be restored in Piercefield around 12:45 p.m. and 2 p.m. in Macomb.

St. Lawrence County has escaped the brunt of the problems so far, but in Jefferson County outages are more widespread. The National Grid outage map can be viewed here.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the North Country due to possible gusty winds of up to 40 mph at times.
