WEST POTSDAM – A series of concerts hosted by Richard and Sharon Bastille, formerly of Mom’s Schoolhouse, will be held in memory of a Canton restaurant owner who was killed when he was hit by a vehicle as he rode his bicycle last month.
Richard F. Morrow, 69, Canton, owner of The Meadows Restaurant on County Rt. 27, was pronounced dead at the scene the night of Dec. 23.
Over the next several weeks, Mom’s is hosting several bands that were to play at The Meadows. The events will benefit the Canton Church and Community Program.
The 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday performances will be on Jan. 15 with Grass Transit, Jan. 22 with Chris Hosmer and Quartet, and Jan. 29 with Andy and Jeff Van Duyne.
There will be a Mom’s “dessert break” halfway through the concerts.
Suggested donation is $10 per person, which cover dessert and music. Reservations are suggested. Call 265-6577 for more info.
