This weekend is likely to be the last really good leaf-peeping opportunity for people in the North Country, according to two organizations that track the fall change in leaves.

All of St. Lawrence County's autumn foliage is at "high color" or "peak color," according to the Foliage Network, and the I Love NY fall foliage web page agrees.

And Foliage Network includes the Adirondacks in the "peak color" category, I Love NY is saying trees in the mountains are past their peak of color.

"Foliage in St. Lawrence County will range from peak to just past peak with 50-75 percent color change," I Love NY reports. "Dull to average yellow, orange, red and copper leaves will emerge in the Adirondacks portion of the region and red and yellow leaves in the St. Lawrence River Valley areas," they predict.

The North Country is among locations are reporting mostly high (61 to 80 percent changed) to peak color, Foliage Network reports.

Leaf drop in St. Lawrence County is called "moderate" by the Foliage Network.
