Warmer temperatures, showers expected in St. Lawrence Valley on Election Day

The sunny skies that started Monday for us are being obscured by clouds that could persist for most of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

High pressure building into the North Country today has resulted in lighter winds today than we had over the weekend and warmer temperatures.

After a cool start this morning, temperatures have climbed into the upper 30s in the Adirondacks to near 50 degrees in the valley.

Clouds are expected to increase on Tuesday, Election Day, and the wind will pick up, with a chance of showers arriving by Tuesday night and continuing into Wednesday, but it will be too warm for and significant snow even in the mountains, according to the NWS.
