Gusty winds to bring warmer weather; colder Saturday, warmer Sunday, and more snow in St. Lawrence Valley

The National Weather Service says we should expect some accumulating snows this afternoon and tonight. It won’t amount to much, but very gusty winds could make travel difficult. Look for a dusting to two inches in the larger valleys and two to four inches up in the mountains, and for wind gusts in the 30 to 40 mph range this afternoon.

After a warmup – it’s above 30 degrees in many areas already – the temperature will drop into the teens tonight and remain there tomorrow, dipping into the single digits Saturday night. Then on Sunday, it will warm up again. Temperatures will rise to near 30, and some more snow is expected, before the temperature drops again, to near zero Sunday night.
