Warm temps remain in St. Lawrence County until Friday night

Above normal temperatures will be the rule across the North Country today and into Friday before colder air returns Saturday, the National Weather Service predicts.

Today will be relatively dry with just a few rain showers possible in St. Lawrence County.

The forecast calls for highs today around 44 and overnight lows about 31.

Colder air moving in across the region on Friday will bring some snow, mainly in the morning, and mainly in the mountains, with up to one inch of accumulation in the county, and maybe two inches around Cranberry Lake and Star Lake, the NWS says.

High temperatures Friday will be about 32.

With clearing skies, forecasters say the low temperature Friday night will dip to about 5 above.

Mainly quiet weather is expected for the weekend as high pressure slides east into the region Saturday.
