A high pressure system will move into the St. Lawrence Valley with clearing skies, sunny days and moonlit nights with a warming trend through Sunday where highs could be in the 90s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Today, the NWS says highs will be near 74 with light and variable winds. Overnight lows will be around 52 with calm winds.
Temps will be near 80 Friday and lows Friday night will be near 56 with light winds from the south, the service says.
A record high temperature on Sunday could be tied or broken. The record high for the Massena and Potsdam area for June 26, which is Sunday, is 91 degrees, according to Weather Underground.
The weekend will see highs 91 on Sunday and a predicted high of 89 on Saturday, NWS says.
The low Saturday night is forecasted to be around 61. The low Sunday night will be near 67.
The first chance of rain in the North Country will be Monday or Tuesday. There is a 40 percent chance of rain on each of those days.

Sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
