War, betrayal, manipulation are no match for the power of friendship in a new fantasy novel by Michael James Ploof of Brushton.
Ploof’s aim in writing and publishing “Whill of Agora” was to demonstrate how the strong bond between friends can overcome anything.
The main character Whill, a 19-year-old ranger, finds himself fighting alongside dwarves and elves to protect the people of Agora in a war against invading dark elves in the year 5170.
Whill is faced with the daunting prospect of controlling newfound powers and dealing with his newly discovered true identity.
“I believe that you can have all the epic battles and fireworks in the world,” Ploof said. “But if you do not have an outstanding companionship, you have nothing. The best fantasy novels I have ever read all have a strong set of unlikely companions facing incredible odds. The only way they survive is with one another.”
Ploof plans a trilogy based on these characters.
“Whill of Agora,” ISBN 1466249684, is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
Ploof lives with his high school sweetheart and two children in Brushton. He has been a casino poker dealer for more than 12 years. He enjoys fantasy works from author R.A. Salvatore, Weiss, Hickman, and Paolini.
