CANTON -- St. Lawrence County Surrogate Judge-elect John F. Richey has appointed of Waddington Michelle H. Ladouceur as his court attorney.
She will be “responsible for monitoring all actions pending before the court, conferencing and interacting with counsel for the litigants, and advising and assisting the court on legal and procedural matters,” according to Richey.
Ladouceur is a partner in the Cappello, Linden and Ladouceur law firm of Potsdam, where she has worked since 2000.
She is a graduate of Madrid-Waddington Central School, SUNY Potsdam and Albany Law School of Union University.
She has 15 years’ experience as a general practice attorney, and has represented clients in all phases of litigation in supreme court, family court, county court, and surrogate’s court, according to a prepared statement from Richey.
She is a member of the St. Lawrence County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
She has served on the United Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country and the National Alumni Association of Albany Law School boards of directors.
She resides in Waddington with her husband, Jason.
