WADDINGTON – A house at 10 Maple Grove was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon, according to the St. Lawrence County Fire Investigation Team.
The Waddington Volunteer Fire Department responded to the property owned by Jean LeBeouf at 1:31 p.m. The Madrid and Lisbon fire departments provided mutual aid and the Waddington Rescue Squad also responded.
The Morley Fire Department was on standby.
Cause of the fire has been listed as accidental and the building has been declared a total loss, investigators said. Four people occupied the building, investigators said.
Firefighters returned to the station a 7:14 p.m., fire officials said.
The building was insured, officials said.
