WADDINGTON -- Anna (Cassidy) Scott, Waddington, and a senior at St. Lawrence University, will be attending SUNY Buffalo School of Dentistry this fall with the hopes of one day serving the North Country as a dentist.
As part of her senior year curriculum at SLU, Cassidy is conducting a research project about the oral health and dental hygiene habits of St. Lawrence County residents. Her goal is to identify possible public health strategies aimed at improving oral health in rural communities where dentists serve disproportionately large numbers of people.
People can help with this research by participating in her volunteer survey. The survey is anonymous and has been approved by the SLU Institutional Review Board.
Participants must be 18 years or. The survey takes 3-5 minutes.
Participants will be entered in a drawing to win one of two $50 Amazon gift cards. The survey will be open for responses until Friday, March 1.
Contact Cassidy’s mentor, Dr. Karin Heckman at kheckman@stlawu.edu or at 315-229-5137 with any questions.
