WADDINGTON – Organizers are estimating that about 100 volunteers will be needed for the Bassmaster Elite Series tournament at the St. Lawrence River and the accompanying Tastes and Talents of the North Country Festival in Waddington this August.
The Bassmaster Elite Series event – the World Series of bass fishing – and the free festival, including performances by nationally known country singers, are expected to draw thousands to Waddington from Aug. 8 – 11.
Volunteers will be needed to help with everything from parking lot line-ups to ice deliveries to greeting guests. Volunteers must be over the age of 16. Each volunteer will get a special commemorative t-shirt and the chance to be on the “inside” of the one of the area’s biggest events ever.
