WADDINGTON – A deceased Waddington man with a passion for horses took his last ride Wednesday by horse carriage to his final resting place at Brookside Cemetery.
Lyle V. Mossow, 72, died July 25 following hospice care. Funeral services were at Phillips Memorial Home.
“We had our father, Lyle Mossow of Waddington, brought to his final resting place in style,” Mossow’s daughter Katrina Brassard said.
Mossow was a member of the ALCOA 25 year club and also a former member of the North Country Pony Association.
He enjoyed racing ponies during the 70’s and 80’s in Pyrites and Knapps Station. Along with raising beef and other animals on his “Mini Farm,” Lyle loved going for coffee on Saturday mornings, and helping out at Loomis Quarter horses.
