WADDINGTON -- A list of “dos and don'ts” and detour information has been released for the upcoming Tastes and Talents of the North Country Festival, planned as part of the Bassmasters tournament.
The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce suggests bringing lawn chairs and sunscreen. Chamber staff also wish to encourage carpooling.
Coolers, backpacks, and large totes will not be allowed into the festival, according to chamber staff. Alcoholic beverages will also not be allowed.
Only service dogs are allowed, no other pets, according to staffers.
The Department of Transportation has set up a detour around Waddington for those not attending the festival or the tournament.
The detour will run from Aug. 7 to Aug. 11 and will run down Buck Road, County Route 33, State Route 345, and the Allison/McGinnis Road, according to department staffers.
