NORWOOD -- Voters in the Norwood-Norfolk Central School District chose Karl Fetter to serve a three-year term on the Board of Education during a special vote Tuesday night.
The special election was the result of a tie for third and fourth place in the Board of Election vote on May 16.
School board candidates James Dillon and Karl Fetter each received 154 votes last month, NNCS Superintendent Jamie Cruikshank said.
This time, Fetter totaled 60 votes, compared to 31 for Dillon.
Dillon will serve a one-year term.
Eleven people voted for both candidates, which Cruikshank says, is legal.
The election took place from 2 until 8 p.m. in the district’s boardroom.
The Board of Education next meets June 20.
