POTSDAM – The amount of unpaid village taxes for the year is down more than $20,000 from the same time last year.
The village Board of Trustees approved its roll of unpaid taxes to report to the county treasurer for 2018-2019 at its meeting Monday night.
The roll this year amounts to $104,370.67, plus interest and penalties of $7,305.94, for a total of $111,676.61 as of Oct. 5.
Last year’s unpaid totals were $127,329.58 in taxes, plus $8,913.07 in interest and penalties, for a total of $136,242.65.
That’s down $22,928.91 in taxes, with interest and penalties of $1,637.13, for a total of $24,566.04 less this year than last.
