CANTON – U.S. Senate candidate George Maragos will be meeting with community leaders from St. Lawrence County this evening to discuss the struggling state economy and his ideas on how to make New York competitive again.
Maragos is running against incumbent Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
He hold the meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in the Canton Municipal Building, 60 Main St. Maragos is presently the elected Nassau County Comptroller managing a budget of $2.6 billion.
He ended 2010 with a budget surplus by lowering taxes, and slashing costs, while maintaining essential services.
