The National Weather Service has issued an urgent weather message warning of freezing rain in the St. Lawrence Valley tonight and early tomorrow.
The freezing rain advisory and hazardous weather outlook issued by the Burlington office says St. Lawrence County could get freezing rain and freezing drizzle between 11 p.m. tonight and 10 a.m. tomorrow that could amount to as much as a tenth of an inch before a rain and snow mix takes over late Saturday morning.
The NWS warns of icy roads making for slippery conditions.
Low temperatures tonight and early tomorrow in the St. Lawrence Valley will be in the mid 20s to to upper 30s, the NWS says.
“Be prepared for slippery roads. slow down and use caution while driving,” the NWS cautions.
