Strong high pressure will continue to bring unseasonably warm and dry weather to the region through Monday with highs in the mid to upper 80s expected, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A cold front will swing through the area Monday night into the first half of Tuesday with a wetting rainfall expected, mainly across the southern half of the forecast area, NWS says.

Highs today will be around 86 with heat index values as high as 90 degrees, forecasters say. Tonight the low will be around 65.

Highs Monday will be around 83 with mostly sunny skies, the service says. The low overnight will be around 64 with a 30 percent chance of rain.
