OGDENSBURG – United Helpers has donated some used eyeglasses to the Ogdensburg Lions.
While doing some cleaning at the United Helpers Lisbon Intermediate Care Facility, nurse Sara Jeneaul found several pairs of old eyeglasses.
Jeneault took the initiative to call the Ogdensburg Lion's Club and arranged to donate the glasses to their program of providing glasses to those in need.
"This was a great opportunity to teach my residents and staff to give back and recycle in our local area," Said Jeneault. "It was also a great teaching moment for a new staff member to learn and interact with our residents in a way other than as just a nurse."
