ST. REGIS FALLS -- A ‘stay in place’ order at St. Regis Falls Central has been lifted after a concern raised by a community member on Facebook was reported to be unfounded.
Interim Superintendent Wayne C. Walbridge said the decision to keep students in place was precautionary after some community members reported concerns regarding a Facebook post.
According to Walbridge state police said there was a misunderstanding regarding the status of a man police were looking for, but there was no threat to the school district. The order was issued at approximately 9:45 and lifted less than one-hour later. School was dismissed at noon as previously planned and events at the school this afternoon will continue as normal.
