Typical February weather is expected for the St. Lawrence Valley for the coming week, with limited sunshine and cold temperatures, but not the bone-crushing cold of last month.
Skies will be cloudy this weekend in the North Country with high temperatures around 20 and lows in the single digits, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a 30 percent chance of snow tomorrow, and a 50 percent chance tomorrow night, but little accumulation is expected.
That pattern continues on Monday, with moderate southwest to west winds bringing wind chills at the coldest times to about minus 8.
Later in the week, some sunshine is predicted for Wednesday.
• Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22. Southwest wind around 14 mph.
• Tonight: Cloudy, with a low around 2. Wind chill values as low as -7. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph.
• Sunday: A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -8. West wind 5 to 9 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Sunday Night: A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 2. Wind chill values as low as -8. Southwest wind around 8 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
• Monday: A chance of snow showers before 9am, then a chance of snow showers after 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 20. West wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 1. West wind around 6 mph.
• Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 12. West wind around 6 mph.
