MASSENA -- Village police say two women are jailed after destroying evidence while officers were attempting to execute a search warrant at a village motel room.
Amber R. Sanderson, 30, no known address, is charged with tampering with physical evidence and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Kristen A. Daggett, 30, no known address, is charged with tampering with physical evidence and concealing/destroying evidence, police said.
On Thursday around 10 a.m., police with a warrant searched a room at the Econo Lodge on state Route 37 and the two allegedly destroyed drug evidence, police said.
They were each arraigned in Massena court by judge Eric Gustafson. Sanderson was remanded in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond, police said. Daggett was remanded in lieu of $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond, police said.
