This is one of two vehicles involved in an accident that occurred on Maple Street at 1 p.m. Thursday.
POTSDAM -- Two people were injured after a Norfolk man allegedly failed to yield the right of way while driving drunk on Maple Street at 1:01 p.m. Thursday, Potsdam Police said..
Daniel R. Jones, 22, was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to yield the right of way while entering a roadway.
Jones had a blood alcohol content of .17 percent.
Potsdam police said Jones pulled on to Maple Street, causing an accident.
Potsdam Police, firefighters and emergency medical personnel were called to the scene.
Two people in the other vehicle were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Upon speaking with Jones, Police said he was found to be intoxicated but uninjured.
Jones was taken into custody and was processed at the Potsdam Police Department for processing.
Jones is due back in court June 7.
