ROSSIE – Two passengers, one only age thee, were sent to the hospital following a collision at State Highway 11 and Spragueville Road at 3:53 p.m. Saturday.
Chantelle M. Worden, Antwerp, was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way to George D. Kirby, Gouverneur.
Troopers say Worden was operating a 2012 Dodge Durango southbound on St. Highway 11 and attempted to make a left turn on the Spragueville Road. Troopers said Worden reported the sun was glaring in her eyes and she did not see the other vehicle approaching.
Kirby was operating a 2001 Ford F150, when Worden failed to yield the right of way, causing the accident.
The passenger in Kirby’s vehicle, Cheryl L. Kirby, 58 of Gouverneur, was transported by Gouverneur Rescue to Samaritan Medical Center for chest pain.
The passenger in Worden’s vehicle, Adalyn D. Worden, 3, Antwerp, was transported to Gouverneur Hospital by Gouverneur Rescue Squad.
Worden was treated for a small abrasion of her forehead and released.
Gouverneur firefighters also responded to the scene.
