POTSDAM — Two Potsdam women were arrested Sunday night after spraying each other in the face with air freshener during a domestic incident in the village, according to Potsdam police.

Cinde J. Johnson, 52, was charged with third-degree assault with intent to cause injury, third-degree attempted assault with intent to cause injury and unlawful possession of noxious matter, officers said.

Suzzy L. Rotella, 56, was charged with third-degree attempted assault with intent to cause injury, second-degree harassment: Physical contact and unlawful possession of noxious matter, police said.

The women were charged at 6:29 p.m. and released on appearance tickets returnable to Potsdam court Sept. 6 at noon.
