COLTON – Two Potsdam teens have been charged with unlawfully dealing with a child for allegedly providing alcohol to two girls who became “very intoxicated,” according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Ryan J. Merriman, 18, and Matthew J. Merriman, 18, both of 347A Pleasant Valley Rd., Potsdam, were both cited with two counts of the misdemeanor in connection with the Sept. 24 incident, deputies said.
Deputies said the Merrimans allegedly hosted a party at their parents’ camp on Higley Flow on Pine Road which was attended by several underage children who consumed alcoholic beverages.
Sheriff’s deputies investigated after receiving a report of an underage drinking party.
