MASSENA -- Two people were provided emergency aid following a fire Sunday that destroyed their travel trailer on Cook Street, according to the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The Red Cross said they provided financial assistance for food, clothing, shoes and seasonal garments to two adults. Volunteers also supplied comfort kits containing personal care items.
In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers say they will will remain available to help those affected by the fire with referrals for housing and with other needs.
The Red Cross is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide both short- and long-term assistance to those affected by disasters.
