On Thursday, city police and firefighters responded to 834 Ford St. for the report of a fire alarm that had been activated.

Upon officer’s arrival, patrols noticed a one-pot methamphetamine lab inside one of the single occupancy rooms, police said.

Police found that a bottle used in this process of making methamphetamine had released a gaseous vapor cloud, setting off the fire alarm, police said.

After obtaining and executing a search warrant, officers allegedly found a quantity of methamphetamine, along with evidence and components related to the manufacturing of the drug.

The above subjects were held in lock up pending arraignment. The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are expected, police said.

The Ogdensburg Police Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit was assisted by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force, New York State Parole, New York State Police CCSERT and the Ogdensburg Fire Department.
