A pair of Ogdensburg residents and a Lisbon man were jailed Wednesday stemming from investigation armed robberies in Rensselaer Falls and Lisbon.
State police said they charged the three suspects on Tuesday in connection with armed robberies at McAllister's Liquor Store in Rensselaer Falls and The Parkway Country Store in Red Mills on Oct. 29.
Justin J. Brunell, 29, of Ogdensburg, Brandy J. Breithaupt, 39, Ogdensburg, and Anthony J. Jock, 36, of Lisbon, were charged with one count each of first-degree robbery and one count of first-degree attempted robbery.
The three were also charged by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office with one count of first-degree robbery relating to a home invasion Oct. 29 on Line Road in Heuvelton.
Brunell, Breithaupt, and Jock were arraigned in the Town of Fowler Court and were remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail to be held on no bail.
The suspects were also involved in two armed robberies that occurred in the city of Ogdensburg, according to state police..
These arrests stem from a joint investigation with Ogdensburg Police Department, The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office, and the State Police. Assistance was also provided by the Office of Homeland Security Investigations, and the North Country Crime Analysis Center located in Malone.
"Through leads developed by the around the clock work of the Ogdensburg Police Department, they were able to develop suspects and evidence which pointed to these three individuals," said St. Lawrence County District Attorney Mary Rain. "The information was provided to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department and New York State Police who were able to make additional arrests in the Lisbon, Oswegatchie and Renselaer Falls cases."
