OGDENSBURG -- City police detectives say two people jailed on felony charges for allegedly selling crack cocaine.

Darren R. St. Germain, 42, of 316 Rosseel St. is charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal nuisance.

Shomari S. Greenwood, 35, of 315 Tioga St., Syracuse is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He is a parolee who was released from state prison on April 24, 2014 after serving time for robbery and weapon possession.

Det. Daniel Mousaw said police raided St. Germain’s house on Tuesday evening, allegedly discovering “a quantity of crack cocaine and Oxycodone pills, along with drug paraphernalia, partially consisting of packaging and scales, as well as a substantial sum of United States currency.”

Mousaw said St. Germain is facing the nuisance charge “stems from his ownership and control of the residence, coupled with his course of conduct of maintaining a premises where individuals gather for the purposes of engaging in the illegal sale of controlled substances.”

The department’s Narcotics Unit had been investigating the residence for several months on suspicion of trafficking and sales of crack cocaine, Mousaw said.

Members of the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force and United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations assisted Ogdensburg Police in executing a search warrant at the residence, Mousaw said.

St. Germain is being held at the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.

Greenwood is being held without bail, pending a parole violation hearing.
