MASSENA -- Two new officers will join the Massena Police Department, the Board of Trustees decided on Tuesday.
Brandan A. Huckle will start Sept. 7.
“He currently works part-time for the Norwood Police Department,” Massena Chief Mark LaBrake said.
Dustin M. McDowell starts Sept. 13.
LaBrake said he still needs to complete police academy.
They will each draw a $26,600 per year starting salary, LaBrake said.
“Both spots are budgeted, and they were budgeted at higher wages than we’re paying now,” he said.
