OGDENSBURG -- A pair of Rochester men were jailed for possessing stolen merchandise from Walmart in Massena following a traffic stop Tuesday in the Valero parking lot, 1111 Champlain St., according to state police.
Johnathan L. Soloman, 23 and Akeem T. Johnson, 24, were each charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, at 6:29 p.m., troopers said.
They were reportedly found to be in possession of $1,011.96 worth of stolen merchandise after police stopped a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe after a report of erratic driving and the driver not wearing his seatbelt.
Both men were remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond, officers said.
Soloman and Johnson were arrested Aug. 13 after a Massena woman reported being kidnapped by the men and that they were forcing her to drive them to Syracuse.
