WADDINGTON – St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two men for allegedly throwing rocks at vehicles, breaking at least one windshield, Sunday.
Michael B. Middlemiss Jr., 21, 523 Baker Rd., Potsdam, and Kyle J. Neuroth, 21, no current address, were both charged with one count each of second-degree criminal mischief and two counts each of third-degree criminal mischief, all felonies.
They were arraigned before Waddington Town Justice Larry Sears and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 bail bond.
They are to appear back in court on June 2.
Deputies allege they responded to a 911 report of someone smashing the windshield out of a vehicle on Clinton Street in Waddington.
The caller stated that the vehicle was last scene on St. Hwy 37 headed west and described the vehicle as being a dark colored SUV.
Responding deputies encountered a vehicle matching that description on the Buck Road in Madrid a short time later.
It is alleged Middlemiss and Neuroth were driving around the village of Waddington throwing rocks at vehicles.
The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation and has received several reports of damage to vehicles throughout the village of Waddington.
Anyone who discovers damages is asked to call the sheriff at 379-2222.
