MASSENA -- Two former Massena residents are facing a combined 22 felony charges after being accused of stealing checks from a business in a building where they used to live.
Joshua P. White, 35, now of Brasher Falls, is charged with five counts of second-degree forgery, four counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies, police said.
Sherry L. Kinney, 37, now of Buckton Road, Winthrop, is charged with five counts of second-degree forgery, six counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, police said.
While living at 44 Glenn St. in October, they allegedly stole numerous checks from Byrns Realty, located in the building, and cashed them, police said.
They were charged on Dec. 5, arraigned in Massena court by Justice Patrick Serguson, and released under probationary supervision, police said.
