POTSDAM -- Village police say two people are jailed following a narcotics investigation that turned up various illicit substances.
Max E. McCann, 23, of Horseheads and Katherine S. Berquist, 25, of Getzville are each charged with third- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, police said.
Members of Potsdam Police, the county Drug Task Force and the county Sheriff's Office raided a Chestnut Street residence with a search warrant on Tuesday afternoon. They allegedly found cocaine, LSD and nearly two pounds of marijuana, Potsdam Police Chief Kevin Bates said.
McCann was arraigned in court and ordered held at the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond, Bates said.
Berquist was arraigned and ordered held on $7,500 bail or $15,000 bond, police said.
Additional charges are pending, according to the chief.
