DEAKLB -- Two people are jailed without bail after the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office said they were caught with a methamphetamine lab and more than two ounces of the drug.

David B. Morrison, 38, and Jarrett A. Gardner, 33, are each charged with second-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, the sheriff's office said.

They were charged around 8:10 p.m. Monday after county Drug Task Force members executed a search warrant at 2901 County Route 17, DeKalb.

Police say they found an active meth lab inside and more than two ounces of meth.

Both suspects have a prior conviction for third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and Morrison is under New York state parole supervision, the sheriff's office said.

They were both arraigned in Canton Town Court by judge Michael Morgan and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, without bail to await further court action.

Deputies say the case is part of an ongoing investigation with more charges pending. St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office, Gouverneur police and Ogdensburg police were assisted at the scene by the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) and the DeKalb Volunteer Fire Department.
