STOCKHOLM – Two people were injured Monday when a vehicle went off the road and struck a tree, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
The driver, Amber Brooks, 20, of 2864 County Route 49, Norwood, suffered right knee pain following the crash on County Route 49 in Stockholm. The accident was reported at 1:55 p.m.
A passenger, Justin Hebert, 25, of 13 ½ Howard St., Massena, complained of right leg pain.
Both were transported by Tri-Town Rescue to Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Brooks’ vehicle sustained major front end damage and was towed by Martin’s Towing of Potsdam, deputies said.
Brooks was ticketed for speed not reasonable or prudent for road conditions and failure to keep right and is to appear in Stockholm Town Court on Jan. 18.
The Brasher Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
