MORRISTOWN – State police arrested two Hogansburg men for attempting to smuggle more than 30,000 unstamped cigarettes at 7:46 p.m. Monday on Co. Rt. 6.
Alexander E. Benedict, 24, Hogansburg, was charged with possession and transporting more than 30,000 unstamped cigarettes, a class D felony.
Andrew L. Laughing, 25, Hogansburg, was charged with possession and transporting 30,000 unstamped cigarettes and crossing road hazard markings.
Both were ordered held pending further court action.
