CANTON -- Two Hermon residents face burglary charges following a burglary investigation by Canton police this weekend.
Dennis L. Lapoint Jr., 29, and Noel E. Love-Hendrick, 26, are charged with second-degree burglary.
The Canton Police Department was notified on Jan. 16 of a reported burglary at 5 State Street Apt. 5, Canton.
Police say they responded and learned the suspects gained entry through a front porch window by cutting a screen.
The victim said she was missing several items, which included DVDs, a DVD player, two unopened 24-packs of mountain dew, a basket of nail polish, a basket of lotions, twelve bottles of shampoo, a Motorola razor, a Playstation 4 and controllers, two PS4 games and an Eiffel tower lamp, according to investigators.
The probe led police to a residence at 128 Main St., Apt A, Hermon, where Lapoint and Love-Hendrick were taken into custody, investigators said.
Lapoint was arraigned in court and ordered held at the county lockup in Canton in lieu of $10,000 bail, police said.
Love-Hendrick was arraigned and released under probationary supervision, police said.
The investigation is continuing and more charges are expected, according to police.
