Two F-15D fighters from the Massachusetts Air National Guard will be conducting scramble exercises over St. Lawrence, Jefferson and Lewis counties this morning.
The aircraft, from the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, Mass., will operate in the Viper Military Operating Area over the towns of Canton, Potsdam, Hermon, and Crary Mills, Carthage, Lowville, Croghan, Harrisville, Castorland and Natural Bridge.
They will be conducting intercept training to prepare for an upcoming Alert Force Evaluation conducted by the Air Force.
The jets may operate at low altitudes during some of their training.
