OSWEGATCHIE -- State troopers charged two people with possessing crack cocaine and an illegal knife on Thursday.
Corrin A. Brown, 19, was charged with one felony count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Joshua P. Seidel, 25, was charged with one count each of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, violation.
Troopers said the arrests stem from a traffic stop on state Route 37.
Brown, the front seat passenger, was found to be in possession of a large quantity of crack-cocaine that was packaged for distribution, police said. She is being held at the county jail in Canton in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond, pending a future appearance, troopers said.
Seidel, the driver, was allegedly found in possession of a marijuana pipe and an illegal knife, according to troopers. He was released on appearance tickets for Town of Oswegatchie Court on March 16, according to police.
State Police say they were were assisted at the traffic stop by the Ogdensburg Police Department.
